Para hoje foi fácil, bastou continuar com a Joni Mitchell e o álbum "Both Sides Now" e inverter as situações, ou seja não procurar uma versão de uma canção por ela composta, mas o contrário Joni Mitchell a interpretar algo que não dela. E "Both Sides Now" é nisso fértil, com excepção de "A Case of You" e o tema título "Both Sides Now", originais da própria aqui reinterpretados, o resto do álbum reúne um conjunto de canções do cancioneiro norte-americano dos anos 20 a 50 do século passado revisto com as suas interpretações superiores, arranjos orquestrais de Vince Mendoza e produção de Larry Klein e Joni Mitchell.

"As we began the process of selecting the songs for this record, Joni come up with the idea of having thr record trace the arc of a modern romantic relationship. I thought that this idea was innovative, exciting and especially appropriate considering that the focal point of her work has been  an inquiry into the nature of modern love. The album would be a programmatic suite documenting a relationship from initial flirtation throught optimistic consummation, metamorphosing into disillusionment, ironic despair, anf finally resolving in the philosophical overview of acceptance and the probability of the cycle repeating itself.
The results have surpassed out expectations. In singing these songs, I believe that Joni has achieved something quite extraordinary in that she has truly sung them as if, as Nietzche would say, she had written them in her own blood."

Logo a abrir encontra-se o tema de hoje "You're My Thrill", canção que vem dos anos 30 e que encontrou em Billie Holiday (1949) uma das primeiras grandes interpretações, mas não escondo que fiquei rendido quando a ouvi pela primeira vez na voz de Joni Mitchell.
